FASCAR MEDIA

Samsula, Fla. (November 1, 2008) Eighteen Modifieds came to New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday in hopes of winning the $1800.00 top prize. Alan Bruns qualified fastest but it was Alan McCafferty who took home the big money after winning the 100 lap Ed Meridith Memorial 100.

Several leaders had the point at one time or another including Alan Bruns but it was McCafferty's first win in his modified at New Smyrna Speedway. Completing the top five were Jerry Symons, Kurt Jett, Shain Held and Ryan Preece.

Twelve Sportsman took the field for the 50 lap Sportsman feature but it was Donny Williams in the No. 111 who took home the bread. Williams was followed by Timmy Todd, Jr., Phil Luizzo, Patrick Thomas and Dale Clouser.

Cody Blair had a really good night winning both the Mini Stock feature and the Pro Truck feature.

Winning the Super Stock feature was Scott Smith who also drove Jon Compagnone's Modified for the Ed Meridith Memoiral. Alan Bruns took the Late Model feature win over Todd Allen, Rusty Ebersole, Austin Pickens and Gregory Skyta. Steve Pierce took the Strictly Stock feature win.
