Wayne Anderson Wins Super Late Model 100

The Super Late Models returned to the Charlotte County Motorsports Park for another 100 lap race. Along with the Super Late Models, the Sportsmans as were the Desoto Champ Karts.

The first feature of the evening was the 25 lap feature for the Fab 4's with Stve Dilg on the pole with Jeremy Perkins leading the first lap. A couple of laps later Mark Davis would take the lead from Perkins and going on with the win. Rose Macho finished second and Logan Leonard third. TQ Midgets were up next with what was suppose to be a 25 lap feature, but due to time running out for them it was shorten to 10 laps with Brandon Cagle the winner. Jack Duffy and Ted Durfee completed the top three spots.

Larry Hubbard Jr had the pole for the Dawrf cars for their 25 lap race with Mike Belasar jumping to an early lead. He would go on to win with Larry Hubbard jr second and roger Richmond third.
The Desoto Champ Karts were back with another edge of your seat race. Before the race was to begin Phil Harp had a bet that he would shave off his beard if he won. The lead went back and forth a couple of times with Phil Harp winning the race and the bet. alan Mckinney finished second with mike Portman third. By the end of the evening Phil Harp was sporting his freshly shaven face.

Fourteen cars took the green for the 50 lap Sportsman race. Bill Vandevender was the polesitter, with Vandevender jumping out to the lead when the green flag came out. The red flag was brought out on lap 7 for a hard head on wreck for Bob Waltz Sr and Rob Popkin, Waltz was taken to a local hospital but was ok. After a timely red flag the race had to be shorten to a 30 lap feature. Vandevender clearly has the strongest car and he would go on to win the race. Brain Teeters and Chris Huntoon completed the top three.

The big race of the evening was the 100 lap Super Late Models with Wayne Anderson having the pole. Anderson took the lead at the start of the race. Martin Maresca would bring out the first and second cautions and on lap 19 he would spin again busting is radiator that would end his evening.

Anderson is still leading on the restart with Scott Walters all over his back bumper.

J R Garcia and Patrick Starpolli get togther coming out of turn 4 sending Starpolli spinning into the infield. Garcia would be sent to the back of the pack for bringing out the caution. Richie Anderson and Steve Dorer would bring out the catuion again on lap 90 with both cars spinning and Dorer being sent the rear of the field.



J R Garcia and Patrick Starpolli would get together again bringing out the final caution and Garcia being put to the back for a second time. Wayne Anderson went on to win the race with Scott Walters second and Patrick Williams third.

Shawn McLaughlin lead the Pro 4's around for the green with Chuck Flesher jumping out to the early lead. Derrick Horton would take the lead from Flesher by lap 2, Horton would lead till lap 9 when David Amelotte would take the lead from Horton.

Amelotte's car was on a rail checking out from the rest of the field and winning the feature. Michael Rodriguez would finish second and Derrick Horton third.

Road Warriors cane out for their 25 lap feature with Anne Marie Ricardi leading them to the green. She would lead for the first few laps until Jesse Dutilly would get around her for the lead. Dutilly and Jeff Firestine had a great battle going for the lead. Dutilly would go on with the win, with Jeff Firestine and Chris Scott completing the top three. Real Racin' USA Thunder Trucks were the last race of the evening with Darryl Morris on the pole. Morris takes the early lead, but Tom Pryor would take the lead by lap 3. Pryor and Randy Kile would have a good battle for the lead for a number of laps with Randy Kile ultimately takeing the lead and going on for the win. Tome Proyer would finish second with Lance Sober finishing third.

Next week we will see Friday and Sturday night racing. Friday night will be the Legends, Bandelros, Real Racin' USA Thunder Truck 50, Road Warrior 50 and the Pro 4 and the Fab 4 will race together for a 50 lap race. Saturday will be the Checkered Flag Sprint Series,Open Wheel Modified 50, Suncoast Outlaw Street Stocks, Modified Mini's, Legends and Bandeleros.
