SNOWDEN AND RUST SPLIT OUTLAW CHALLENGE WINS SATURDAY AT ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD
By Dave Westerman

Saturday night saw the Outlaw Challenge cars run a pair of 25 lap feature races. The first ran green to checker with J.L Snowden taking the win ahead of Ryan Rust, Rowdy Gordon, Jarrett Snowden, Gene Dibble, Michael Smith and Paul White.

The second race wasn't quite as tame but there were no seroius incidents as the top two finishers were reversed with young Rust taking the win over J.L. Snowden while White looked much stronger in the second feature taking an impressive third over Gordon, Jarrett Snowden, Smith and Dibble. Rust also won the heat race.

Jeff Wright led every lap to claim his third Classic Car win of the year as their 20lap feature was slowed only once when the engine blew in Danny Dixon's machine. Derrick Wood stayed close but couldn't challenge Wright and had to settle for second ahead of Jim Rahman, Brad Norburg and Andrew Gustafson. Dave Nunes, Wayne Skinner, Eddie Ward, Ron Gustafson and Dixon rounded out the top ten. Wright also won the heat.

Brady Marshall dominated the Florida Mini Cup Association feature winning both the heat and feature in style over Devin McLeod, Ty Larsen, Don Mays, Zack Hoyt and Corey White.

The ABC Towing Hurricane feature saw Jim Erb arrive late, start dead last, then claim the win in his Acura with a late charge past Doug Webb's Chevy Monte Carlo. Gary Thomas claimed third ahead of William Hindman and Rob Reynolds. Rounding out the top ten were Mark Walls, Jim Cosier, Greg Bruce, Alex Fortune and Blaize Fisher. Thomas won the heat race.

Joe Arnold won both the heat and feature in the Outlaw Strictly Stocks. In the main event it was Arnold taking the measure of Anthony Robinson, Bobby Jones, Rick Poffenberger, Scott Mickens and Gilbert Steele.

Daytona Antique Auto Racing Association winners were Roy Campbell (Sprint), Cynthia McKenzie (Midget) and Sandra Williams (Stock Car).
