Austin Howell takes FASCAR Pro Truck Feature at Desoto Super Speedway

Bradenton, Fl. A two and a half hour rain delay did not stop the action at the “South’s Fastest Short Track”. George Gorham Jr. Took fast time for the fifty lap Advance Auto Parts FASCAR Pro Truck feature. He led almost all of the caution filled event. As the white flag came out Mike Pilla who had been running in the top five all evening lost a tire that went over the turn two wall bringing out the yellow for the final time.
When the field came to the stripe the green and white were flying. The truck of Austin Howell was right on the back bumper of Gorham. Gorham got out shape coming out of two allowing Howell to make the pass. Gorham made contact with the wall and fell to a ninth place finish. Howell would cross the stripe for his first win, former Late Model stand out Keith Lilley would cross the stripe in second, third was Logan Bordeau, Travis Hanson took fourth and rounding out the top five was Patrick Staropoli.
In the Quick Kids race it was Chase Hoffman over Randy Anderson, Matt Cohen and Stephen Nasse.
