Allen Bragg Rides "The Crate Motor Express" to Victory

Bradenton, Fl. The “South’s Fastest Short Track” hosted seven classes of good ol’ fashioned stock car racing including a good field of the “Cars of Yesterday”.
Manatee Lumber Pure Stocks The fans were on their feet as the Pure Stock field took the green for their twenty five-lap feature. Allen Bragg started on the outside of the front row and quickly dove down to the inside to take the lead.
The field behind him swapped positions as Bragg made off with the top spot. As the laps wound down Blair Pontious closed in on the leader. Bragg and Pontious put on a show for the fans right down to the checkers and it was Bragg scoring his first ever win with the “Crate Motor Express” in the Pure Stocks.
“ I have to thank Timmy Troyer and Randy Johnson they made this car drive like a dream,” said Bragg in the winner’s circle.
Pontious scored the second spot, Robert Crisp took the “Rocket Red Express” car tO the third spot. Randy Johnson in the “Silver Bullet” was fourth and Tyler Lau was fifth.

Magic4’s It was Alex Patten with the dominating ride holding off the hard charging Chelsea LaJoie, Jessica Ostrovskis roared to up to the third spot, fourth went to Austin Craig and fifth Bill Leake.

Manatee Lumber Bombers Jeff Firestine made a triumphant return to DeSoto Super Speedway dominating the twenty five-lap feature. His car owner Dean Butrum had solid run in the second spot. The “Punisher” Michael Crooks made up some ground in the points finishing in the third spot. Fourth was the “Mayor” John Stewart and fifth was points leader Scott Dawley.

Q Auto and Injury Attorneys Open Wheel Modifieds Tate Pierce and John Sarppraicone Jr. battled the entire thirty five laps with Pierce taking the win, third went to Richie Shepard who had his own war going on with Mark Nelson who was fourth. Rounding out the top five was Bruce Riggio.
