Allen Bragg Rides "The Crate Motor Express" to Victory
By Rick Anges

Bradenton, Fl. The “South’s Fastest Short Track”
hosted seven classes of good ol’ fashioned stock car
racing including a good field of the “Cars of
Yesterday”.

Manatee Lumber Pure Stocks
The fans were on their feet as the Pure Stock field
took the green for their twenty five-lap feature.
Allen Bragg started on the outside of the front row
and quickly dove down to the inside to take the lead.

The field behind him swapped positions as Bragg made
off with the top spot. As the laps wound down Blair
Pontious closed in on the leader. Bragg and Pontious
put on a show for the fans right down to the checkers
and it was Bragg scoring his first ever win with the
“Crate Motor Express” in the Pure Stocks.

“ I have to thank Timmy Troyer and Randy Johnson they
made this car drive like a dream,” said Bragg in the
winner’s circle.

Pontious scored the second spot, Robert Crisp
took the “Rocket Red Express” car tO the third spot.
Randy Johnson in the “Silver Bullet” was fourth and
Tyler Lau was fifth.
