Anderson takes Checkers in Desoto Truck Race

Bradenton, Fl. Twenty-four trucks were on hand for qualifying for the nights fifty lap feature. Travis Roland once again showed the way and took another fast time, Gary Foxworth who would come into the night leading the points followed in the second spot, third was Bill Manfull, fourth was Charlie Montgomery and fifth Tommy Caveny.

Anderson wasted no time in getting to the front but Charlie Montgomery would keep the pressure on for the fifty lapper. The would battle for the top spot but it would be Anderson taking the win, Montgomery would take second, third Tommy Caveny, fourth across the stripe was Jason Deaton and fifth Nick King. Roland would have his problems but still managed a sixth place run and take over the points lead.

Manatee Lumber Bombers Micheal “the Punisher” Crooks and Scott Dawley went at it for the twenty five lap bomber feature but when the smoke cleared it was the Punisher pushing his helmet back up over his eyes to take the checkered flag, Dawley would take second, third was Jerome “Slideways” Watland, fourth went to “Radical” Rick Germony and fifth “the Mayor” John Stewart.

Manatee Lumber Pure Stocks George Bartimac started on the front row and never looked back as he cruised to the win. “This car was really hooked up tonight, I have to thank everyone who helped me on it”. Said Bartimac in the winner’s circle. Second went to John Brown, third was Tyler Lau, fourth was Robert Crisp and fifth Blair Pontius.
