Sarppraicone Tops Open Wheel 50 Lapper

Bradenton,Fl (3/17) Johnny Sarppraicone Jr. led the
field in qualifying and did the same when the die came
up a zero for the start of the race. Sarppraicone was
the class of the field checking out to his own zip
code in route to his first win of the ’07 season.

Finishing in the second spot was Robbie McAuliffe,
third went to Bobby Baldwin, fourth was Mark Nelson
and fifth John Shields.

James Crawford Jr. was loaded for bear and roared to
his first Pure Stock victory after moving up to the
class, “Rocket Red” Keith Thorbin got the monkey off
his back with a solid second place run, third was
Tyler Lau, fourth Randy Johnson and fifth Duane Best.

Joey Barnes came from the third spot on the last lap
and looked like he was shot from a cannon as he
crossed the stripe for the checkered flag. Jimmy Best
had to settle for second, third was Alex Abbott,
fourth place went to Duane Best and fifth Dennis
Wilson.
