Bradenton, Fl. Unseasonably cold weather blew in for race #2 of the Turner Tree and Landscape Limited Late Models. Doug Moff the 2004 champion of the class took his first fast time in a while with a high 14 second run over the 16-car field.
The die came up a zero starting the field straight up from qualifying and after a couple tries the green finally came out for the 100-lap feature.
Moff took off like a rocket and began to build a huge lead over the rest of the field. Lap after lap Moffs lead grew to almost a half a lap. It was beginning to look like he would walk away with an easy win.
A late race yellow bunched the field and Kevin Ingram who started in the fourth spot had battled his way to second was now starting right on the back bumper of the leader. Moff got off to a good start but it wasnt long before Ingram was challenging for the lead.
Coming out of two Ingram got under the leader Moff and the duo drag raced down the backstretch. Going into three the two touched, Moff backed his ride into the wall and after a few green flag laps pulled it into the infield ending his night.
From the point on it was all Ingram as he cruised to the win, second across with a great run by Steve Dorer who over came practice session problems, third went a strong running A.J.Currelli, fourth was Tate Pierce and fifth Steve Gill.
