OOLE & SPRY REPEAT - STROUPE FINALLY WINS AT SPEEDWORLD WINTERNATIONALS
LEGENDS CENTER STAGE AT SPEEDWORLD

By Dave Westerman

Cotton Spry makes it back to back wins in Legends Masters.

Friday night saw the best night of racing so far as Orlando Speedworld presented night four of the 2006 INEX/600 Series Winternationals.

For the second consecutive night, Cotton Spry started on the front row and led every lap. Weimer drove a super clean race and could not get Spry to make a mistake as the Masters division had easily their best race of the week too.

After two hard crashes, opening night winner Tommy Jordan packed up and headed home to South Carolina. Battling the flu, Clay Hair also called it quits.

In the Legends Pro Division, Brennan Poole made a last lap pass to take the win, his second in two nights as the Pro Division drivers put on their best race of the week swapping positions on each lap.

In the Semi-Pro Division the drivers weren't perfect, but they definitely had their best race of the week with Zach Stroupe finally getting the monkey off his back in taking the win.

Stroupe raced an Aaron's Pro Challenge car during the opening week of the Winternationals and would have won both races except for mechanical failures.

Zach Stroupe came home with the Legends Semi-Pro win.

Car trouble had also hindered his performance the first three nights but Stroupe put it all together on night four. Stroupe, Feller and Wallace swapped the lead several times during the event.
