McCarl Reigns as “King of the 360’s” in East Bay’s Ronald Laney Memorial

(January 28, 2006) Iowa’s Terry McCarl captured a $10,000 payday and earned the title of 2006 “King of the 360’s” by topping Saturday night’s O’Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour presented by Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores 40-lap Ronald Laney Memorial at East Bay Raceway Park.

McCarl took the lead from early pacesetter Greg Wilson on the ninth round, then held off Wilson’s late bid to secure the triumph aboard Mark Burch’s Morgan Farms/Engles No. 1m WolfWeld entry.

McCarl and Wilson were chased to the stripe by Jason Sides, Darren Stewart and Nick Smith, with the balance of the top ten including Tim Shaffer, Tim Montgomery, Danny Smith, Jesse Hockett and Gary Wright.
