John Craddock Wins Feature at Volusia Speedway Park and 2004 FMSA Dirt Series Championship
The Florida Mini Sprint Association arrived at Volusia Speedway Park for the Outlaw Thunder with the USCS Winged Sprints.

The first heat started out with the #80 of Gregory Skyta and the #11 of Cory Spencer on the front row. When the green flag flew the #11 of Cory Spencer took the early lead with the #80 of Gregory Skyta in 2nd. and the #1m of Eddie Moss in 3rd. Cory would continue to lead with the #80 on his bumper and the #1m trying the outside groove on the #80. The race would go on with these 3 one behing the other with the #11 of Cory Spencer winning the heat race and the #80 of Gregory Skyta in 2nd. and the #1m of Eddie Moss rounding out the top 3.

The 2nd. heat race started out with the #7 of Jesse Teed and the #19T of Matt Tiffany on the pole. The #7 of Jesse Teed would get the jump for the lead for a few laps until the #71 of John Craddock would make his way pass Teed to take the Lead. Craddock would continue to lead the race and Win with the #7 of Jesse Teed in 2nd. and the #19T of Matt Tiffany in 3rd.

The Feature Event would line up with 18 cars starting for the 20 Lap feature bringing the #8 of Eddie Moss and the #11 of Cory Spencer on the front row. Once the green flag flew the #7 of Jesse Teed would jump to the outside and take the lead by turn 2 from the 3rd. row.

Teed would have a good lead on the field until the caution flag flew for the #80 of Gregory Skyta that would hit the turn 2 wall from steering failure. Gregory would be OK with a few bumps and bruises and a bent from clip on his Hyper Chassis.

Teed would lead the field on the restart with the #71 of John Craddock right behind and would eventually get by the #7 to take the lead. Craddock would pull away from Teed with the 19T of Matt Tiffany moving up through the field after starting in the 12th. position. The caution flag would fly again for the #86 of Russ Heider as he blew a motor.

Craddock would restart the field and show the way for a few laps when the #17 of Jamie Neaves came to stop in turn 1&2. Craddock would restart the field with the #7 of Jesse Teed in 2nd. and the #19T in 3rd. as Craddock continue to lead the way the field would be slicing and dicing behind for position.

On Lap 17 the caution would fly again for TJ Raymond driving the Tremble Logistics #69 when his motor would let go in turn 3 while running up front. Craddock would restart the field once again with the #19T of Matt Tiffany getting a run on the #7 of Teed in turn 3 but Teed would close the door to keep the 2nd. spot.

Craddock driving the (D&K Motorsports, TAK Enviromental, John Smith Electrical, Napa Auto Parts, Yelington Const.) Sponsored #71 Hyper Chassis would win the feature event and the 2004 FMSA Dirt Series Championship. The #7 of Jesse Teed would hold onto the 2nd. position with the #19T of Matt Tiffany in 3rd. The #33 of Tom Wilson would finish a strong 4th. with the #1 of Harold Matthews rounding out the top 5.
