IT'S TIME TO RACE!!

Jesse Teed Wins at Orange County Raceway
The Florida Mini Sprint Association arrived at Orange County Raceway with 18 Cars for the Rain-Out Makeup from June 19th. 2004.

The first heat race lined up with the #88 of Andy Griffin and the #19 of Gavin Thomas on the front row. The race started with the #88 of Andy Griffin taking the early lead with the #19 of Gavin Thomas following in 2nd.

The caution would fly for the #55 of Alan Craig as he spun in the turn. The #88 would restart the race with the #19 in 2nd until the #11 of Cory Spencer would move up through the field to take over the 2nd. Spot on lap 4. The #07 of Paul Godshaulk would move up to the 3rd. place as the #19 would start fading back.

The Caution would come out again for the #8 of Eddie Moss Jr. who would spin in turn 1&2 on lap 7. Andy Griffin driving the #88 would restart the field once again but the #11 of Cory Spencer would muscle his way into the lead on lap 8. The #11 of Cory Spencer would go on to Win the 1st. Heat Race with the #88 of Andy Griffin in 2nd and the #18 of Jody McKenzie rounding out the top 3.

The second heat race started out with the #86 of Russ Heider and the #2 of Steve Crabtree on the pole. The #86 of Russ Heider would take the lead on the start with the #2 of Steve Crabtree in 2nd and the #7 of Jesse Teed moving up from 6th starting position to the 3rd. spot.

The #86 of Russ Heider would take command of the field till the caution flew on lap 5 for the #33 of Tom Wilson. Russ Heider would restart the race with the Steve Crabtree in 2nd. And the battle started with the #7 of Jesse Teed and the #71 of John Craddock for the 3rd. place. Teed up high and Craddock down on the bottom lap after lap. Craddock would get by Teed for the 3rd. spot on Lap 8. The #86 of Russ Heider would win the 2nd. Heat race with the #2 of Steve Crabtree in 2nd and the #71 of John Craddock finishing in 3rd.

The Feature Event would be anticipated to be exciting with the track having many holes in different spots. The #11 of Cory Spencer would lead at the beginning of the race till the #86 of Russ Heider moved to the front followed by the #69 of TJ (Heider) Raymond and the #7 of Jesse Teed.

The caution would fly many times for spinouts on the rough track. The #7 of Jesse Teed made his way by the #69 of TJ Raymond for the 2nd. spot on the outside in turn 1&2. The #86 of Russ Heider would lead with the #7 right on his tail until Lap 5 when Teed made the pass for the lead running the outside cushion.

The caution would fly again for the #3 of Alex Mills as he spun for the 3rd. time. The #11 of Cory Spencer would collect the inside Tire Marker in Turn 4 to bring out the caution on Lap 11. The #19T of Matt Tiffany while running 4th would spin out bring the caution flag out again on lap 12.

The #7 of Jesse Teed would restart the race with the #86 in 2nd and the #71 in 3rd. until the #2 of Steve Crabtree made the pass on the outside for the 3rd. spot. Teed would move out on the field for several laps running the outside line with the #19T of Matt Tiffany moving back up towards the front after restarting in the rear.

The caution would fly for the #18 of Jody McKenzie as he would hit the Tire Barrier in Turn 1 after getting together with the #55 of Allen Craig. Jesse Teed would restart the race with the #86 of Russ Heider in 2nd and the #2 of Steve Crabtree in 3rd.

The Orlando Native of Jesse Teed driving the T-Bone Chassis #7 sponsored by (Jesse James Demolition, Jet Ski of Orlando) would Win his first Feature Event of 2004 with the #86 of Russ Heider in 2nd. The #19T of Matt Tiffany would manage to get by the #2 of Steve Crabtree on the last lap for 3rd. with the #71 of John Craddock rounding out the top 5.
