April 3, 2008 Homes of MERIT "Battle by the Bay" at East Bay Racwary Park By Rick Anges Gibsonton Fl., The United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series will roll into East Bay Raceway Park for its third race of the 2008 season. Ivedent Lloyd Jr. leads the points race in the series after a hard fought win at Hendry County Speedway and a second at the opener at Ocala Speedway. Shan Smith, Shane Williams and Roger Crouse are all within striking distance of the top spot and with Lloyd scheduled to be running in Georgia this weekend anyone could walk away with the lead. The series has been highly successful drawing over forty cars for each of the first two events. This weekend will feature qualifying for the first time in the season followed by heats and B-mains. There will be plenty of side by side racing on the Clay by Baythis weekend and a huge field of cars is expected so make your plans to be there this Saturday Night, April 5th for the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series at Eastbay Raceway Park.
