Orlando SpeedWorld adds new Semi-Pro Truck Division to it's Saturday Night Show starting in April 2008
Orlando, FL (March 14, 2008) Orlando SpeedWorld will add a new feature to their Saturday show line-up starting in April when the new Orlando Semi-Pro Trucks take to the track every second and fourth Saturday of the month. The new division is designed for drivers from the age of 14 to 18 and will be a trophy "only" class.
"We really wanted to help the young truck drivers," said Rusty Marcus, General Manager. "We designed this class to give them on-track experience. All drivers will need to purchase the new $400.00 insurance policy before they can race. We are really looking forward to this new division and hope that this helps our younger racers in the long run."
Drivers who are 17 when the new division begins, not yet 18, can run this class. They will need to buy the extra insurance but the insurance is good at any track in the United States and gives them extra insurance and is good until the end of the year.
"I have double checked other tracks schedule and running the second and fourth Saturday of each month will not interfer with any other track. Hopefully this will only grow even if it is a trophy "only" class.
