Matthews Wins at Orange County Raceway with new Car
The Florida Mini Sprint Association came back to Orange County Raceway with 21 cars strong.

The 1st. Heat Race started out with the #1 of Harold Matthews taking the early lead with the #74 of Rick Herrero moving into the 2nd. Spot. The #88 of Andy Griffin made it past the #18 of Jody McKenzie for the 3rd. place. Harold would lead the field till on Lap 5 when the #55 of Allen Craig would spin in turn 1&2 bringing out the 1st. caution. On Lap the #1m of Eddie Moss and the #8 of Eddie Moss Jr. would get together to bring out the caution. Harold would go on to win the 1st. Heat Race with the #74 of Rick Herrero in 2nd. and the #18 of Jody McKenzie rounding out the top 3.

The 2nd. Heat Race started with the #19T of Matt Tiffany getting the jump on the start to take the lead.

The #86 of Russ Heider moved into the 2nd. position with the #33 of Tom Wilson in 3rd. The #71 of John Craddock past the #33 for the 3rd. spot and the caution would come out for the #2 of Steve Crabtree that would spin in turn 2. The #71 of John Craddock made it past the #86 of Russ Heider for the 2nd. position on Lap 7. The #19T of Matt Tiffany Dominated the Heat Race to Win with the #71 of John Craddock in 2nd. and the #86 of Russ Heider finishing 3rd. The #33 of Tom Wilson along with the #7 of Jesse Teed and the #3 of Alex Mills would be battling it out for the 4th. position for last 3 Laps with the #3 of Alex Mills taking the 4th. place.

The Feature Event started with the #1 of Harold Matthews taking the lead on the outside from the 4th. starting position. The #2 of Steve Crabtree would follow in 2nd. and the #3 of Alex Mills in the 3rd. place. The #19T of Matt Tiffany got by the #3 for the 3rd. spot on Lap 3. The #71 would move into the 4th. place with the #7 of Jesse Teed following in 5th along with the #74 of Rick Herrero following a close 6th.The caution would fly on Lap 7 for the #3 of Alex Mills as he spins in turn 2.

The #1 of Harold Matthews would restart the field with the caution coming out again as the #11 of Cory Spencer and the #86 of Russ Heider get together on the back stretch. After the next restart the #71 would get by the #2 for the 3rd. spot with the #1 of Harold Matthews leading the field till the #55 of Alan Craig came to a stop in the front stretch.

The #1 of Harold Matthews in his new Black Stealth MT-3 Bailey Chassis sponsored by (Aggressive Signs, Durden Surveying, ESR and Extreme Motorsports) would dominate the feature to take his 2nd. Win of the 2004 FMSA Dirt Series. The #19T of Matt Tiffany would lose a lot of ground coming out of turn 2 as the #71 of John Craddock got by for 2nd. and the #2 of Steve Crabtree would get by in turn 3&4 for the 3rd. place. Tiffany would finish 4th. with the #7 of Teed in 5th. and the #74 of Rick Herrero finishing his best 6th. place.
