HAMPTON, Va. -July 12, 2008- Nick Smith moved out front on the 142nd circuit and cruised to his second victory of the season in the Hampton Heat 200 for the Crossroads Fuel Service Late Model Stock Cars, the featured event of Saturday evening’s NASCAR Whelen All-American Series program at Langley Speedway.

LEHIGHTON, PA - Reigning Mahoning Valley Speedway champion Chip Santee of Palmerton was cruising way ahead of the pack during Saturday night’s Firecracker Modified 100, assuring him of a dominating win until a caution waved four laps from the end.
That set up a three car shootout between him, Earl Paules and Bup Dreher in the race to the checkered flag. Santee, however, was not about to give up his shot at winning.

GLADEVILLE, Tenn.- July 12, 2008 – Scott Dixon didn't have the best car Saturday night at Nashville Superspeedway, but he did have the best strategy. Dixon elected to stay out on a late caution to take the lead, and took the win in the rain-shortened Firestone Indy 200.
Dixon grabbed the lead on Lap 149 and had enough fuel to stay in the top spot until rain ended the race with 29 laps left, giving him his third consecutive victory at the Nashville Superspeedway and his fourth this season.

The 33-year-old driver enjoyed another UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals triumph on Tuesday night, visiting RacingJunk.com Victory Lane for the second time on the 2008 tour at Peoria Speedway.
VanWormer hopes that his checkered flag sets him off on a strong run down the Summer Nationals homestretch.

Remember when Mark Martin announced he was retiring from Roush Fenway Racing and Sprint Cup Series competition after the 2005 season?
And then he was retiring from the team after the 2006 season.

GAFFNEY, S.C. -June 20, 2008- In front of a standing room only crowd, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returned to Cherokee Speedway for the first time since 2006. The fans were not disappointed as Dan Schlieper of Sullivan, WI held off Jimmy Owens by a mere car length to win the 10th Annual Grassy Smith Memorial Race on Friday Night.
