Jason Bronson Takes Open Wheel Modifieds At Hendry County
HCMP Media

Jason Bronson wasn't able to catch Kyle Bronson in the 30 lap main event feature at Hendry County Motorsports Park Saturday night. But Kyle Bronson, with a full straightaway lead on the field, had his car go south on lap 17, giving the lead over to Jason Bronson.

Roger Crouse, driving the #33x, fought hard but just didn't have enough motor to run down Bronson.

Jeff Mathews, another driver from the Tampa area and always a favorite this year in the modifieds, continued to have bad luck at the state's southernmost track. On lap 5 Jamie Burrows, Jimmy Carter and Mathews all got together in turn one. Mathews and Burrows were done for the night.

Rains delayed the start of racing at HCMP until after 9 PM, but it was worth the wait. The track was very fast and in the kind of shape for good racing that owner Ken Kinney Jr and his staff have been looking for.

Full race rundowns and more on the night's events to follow.
