Storer Takes Mini Stock Race at Auburndale

Kids Club and a 40 lap V-8 Street Stock race was the
features of the night plus all regular classes.

Mini Stocks took the green flag with #89 Scott Sharpe
on the pole and taking the lead early, #21 Chuck
Frazier running 2nd, #38 Mike Margotta 3rd. Making
a charge to the front was the #9 Robbie Storer making
his way up to 5th and passing Margotta and #5 Chris
Palmer to move up to 3rd. Margotta and Palmer get
together and spin in turn four bringing out the
caution, while under the caution 2nd place Frazier
pulled in with a flat tire. Restart Storer took
the lead from Sharpe on lap 8, #11x Macky Mangold
moves up to 4th and then up to 3rd under Palmer, #58
Wayne Weaver looked to have blown a motor but lost
alot of power steering fluid on his engine causing
a fire but pulls in safely. With a hanful of laps
to go Robbie Storer takes another win, Scott Sharpe
2nd, and #97 Brian Dorer 3rd

4 Cyls had 11 cars in their race with #69 Dena Guy
on the pole and leading most of the way through the
feature, #63 Steve Johnson was challenging for the
lead on the outside for the first couple laps but
settled into the 2nd spot, #96 Larry Chumney was
running in the 3rd spot and got around Johnson for
2nd. #1 David Jouppi was on the move and got around
Johnson for 3rd then around Chumney for 2nd, wasn't
long until he passed Dena Guy for the lead and took
the win. Dena Guy 2nd and Larry Chumney 3rd.

The Super Stocks were ready to go racing with #34 Jeff
McCaw getting the lead and not looking back, running
2nd was #2 Paul Gibbs, #13 Aaron Williamson brings out
the caution after spinning in turn two. On the restart
McCaw and Gibbs pulled away from the field, 3rd through
6th were nose to tail until #12 David Williamson got
under #40 Bobby Eddy for 4th and #16 R.J. Williams
follows to 5th, #08 Jim Orisich and David Williamson
make contact on the front straightaway causing Orisich
to spin, both going to the rear for the restart.
Leading the whole race from start to finish Jeff McCaw
took the win. Paul Gibbs 2nd and R.J. Williams 3rd.

LLM had 12 cars going for the green, #25 Billy Norris
on the pole and took the lead but was challenged by
#63 Wesley Bass on the outside until the caution came
out and they had go to a single file restart, top 5
Norris, #01 Bryan Storer, Bass, #55 Richard Elkins Jr.,
and #65 Ollie Harbin. Bass goes to the outside and
Storer slips up and Bass takes the spot. Bass then
challenged Norris for the lead but a chain reaction
bump between Storer, Bass and Norris is turn four
caused the leader to spin and Norris had to restart
in the rear. On the restart #71 Dave Dunkin and
#1 Bart Weatherford got together with alot of cosmetic
damage to Dunkin's car but both continue from the
rear on the restart. Wesley Bass comes home the
victor with Bryan Storer 2nd, and Richard Elkins Jr
3rd.

The 40 lap V-8 Street Stock had 19 cars strong with
#68 Mike Wilson setting fast time and starting on the
pole. After a couple complete restarts the officials
made them line up single file for the start of the race,
Wilson with the lead #40 Mike Pitts 2nd and #21 Chris
Narramore, Jr. 3rd. #51 Mark Lowe made a pass and
took the 6th spot, #00 Rodney Peterson smoking heavily
pulls in on lap 11, #31 Donnie Harp makes a pass on #16
David Purvis to move up to 7th #99 Jason Deaton follows
and moves up to 8th. On the last caution 2nd place
Mike Pitts pulls in with a flat tire. Restart Deaton
gets under Lowe for the 5th spot the last 10 laps the
leaders stayed the same and Mike Wilson took home the
extra money for fast qualifier and the win. Chris
Narramore Jr. 2nd and Jason Stifle 3rd.
