Brian Finney Wins Florida Pro at Hialeah Speedway

by Marty Little

Hialeah, Fla - Riding his current hot streak, Brian
Finney led all 50 laps to win the Florida Pro Series
50 lap feature event Saturday night at Hialeah
Speedway.

It was an all Finney front row for the half-century
run with Brian jumping brother Kevin for the lead at
the outset and he never looked back, easily pacing
the 13 car field in wire to wire fashion and the flat
third-mile oval. Former track regular Bobby Coyle ran
third the entire distance with Steve Weaver, Jr. and
Danny Maddox rounding out the top five finishers.

Street Stock action saw Travis McCoy the victor in the
25 lap run as he overhauled Ken Ammerman on lap 13 and
was never challenged. Bubba Martone, John Bentley,
Sean Bulaskas and Ammerman rouned out the top five.

David Russell proved the best of the mini stocks as he
ducked under Tommy Styer on lap three then led Styer
to the checkers. Bill Calder, Eddie Lowery, and John
Namor chased the lead duo to the stripe in the 25 lap
main.

The cyclone 25 lapper was the most exciting of the
evening as Bob Regula just nipped Mike Powers and
Roger Bohannon for the hard fought victory. Early
leader Chris Stockton was fourth and Bruce Moerlins
fifth.

Brian Paradis topped Andre Gagnon and Mike Belusar in
the Modified Lite headliner while the companion Pro
Challenge feature went to Rod Sanders ahead of Mark
David and Howard Brennan.

Complete finish of Florida Pro Series 50 lap feature at
Hialeah Speedway 11-2-02 showing finishing position,
driver and laps completed:

1. Brian Finney 50 laps, 2. Kevin Finney 50, 3. Bobby
Coyle 50, 4. Steve Weaver, Jr. 50, 5. Danny Maddox 50,
