Results for Florida Mini Sprints at Thundercross and VSP 10/19 and 10/20

The Florida Mini Sprints had a long weekend of racing
starting out at Thundercross Motorsports Complex on
Saturday night.

The lst heat race started out with #71 John Craddock
on the pole and leading the race from start to finish.
The #2 Steve Crabtree would finish second with the #86
Russ Helder rounding out the top three.

The beginning of the 2nd heat race would be led by #33
Tom Wilson until lap number five when the #7 Jesse
Teed would make a pass on the inside of #33 going into
turn three. Jesse Teed #7 would go on to win the
heat race with the #33 finishing 2nd. And the #19 of
Ryan Thomas from Jacksonville, Florida would finish 3rd.

The feature event started out with the #21m Johnny
Miller leading the pack until lap 3 when the #2
Steve Crabtree would take the point. The #19 Ryan
Thomas would move up the field and take the lead by
lap 10. The lead would change again with the #71
John Craddock putting a little bumper to the #19 on
lap 16. The caution would come out for the #2. With
a one lap shootout the #71 (Napa Parts) sponsored
bailey chassis would take the win with #19 finishing
second, and the #7 would pass the #33 and #55 on the
outside to take the 3rd spot.

2nd Heat - 7, 33, 19, 6, 32, 4

The Florida Mini Sprints would travel early to the
Volusia Speedway Park on Sunday to put on a great show
along with the U.S.C.S.

The 1st heat race was led by the #1 (ESR) of Harold
Matthews from start to finish. The race would have one
caution which would result in the #19 and #13 making
contact causing the #13 to hit the outside wall in turn
2. The heat race would finish with the #6 of Mike
Schroeder making his way through the field to take
second and the #2 Stee Crabtree would finish 3rd.

The 2nd heat race would start out with the #71 on the
pole and never look back to take the win. The #33
Tom Wilson (U.S. Car Care) would finish 2nd and the
#86 Russ Heider would end up in the 3rd position
when the checkered flag waved.

The feature event started with the #24 Tom Blackburn
taking the led on the start of the race. The caution
would come out with the #38 Gary Mincey coming to a
stop in turn 2. The race would restart with the #1
Harold Matthews connecting with the #71 John Craddock
and would go over the turn to wall and spin in circles
and come to a stop between the fence and wall. Harold
would get checked out by track EMTs and would be a
little shaken, Harold would be ok. Steve Crabtree the
#2 would led the race til the #6 Mike Schroeder would
pass the #2 during lap traffic and the #6 (Boyd's
Engineering) of Southwest Ranches, Florida would take
the checkered flag as the winner. Second place would
end up being the #2 and the #21m Johnny Miller would
finish 3rd.

2nd Heat - 71, 33, 86, 17, 46, 24, 38, 9
