Russ Heider Wins Florida Mini Sprint Feature at Lake City Speedway

The Florida Mini Sprints start out the month of September
at the 3/8 mile Lake City Speedway dirt track which
would be a Russ Heider night.

The first heat started out with #55 Allen Craig of
Dunnellon, Florida taking the win over #71 John Craddock
with #8 Johnny Sutton finishing third after the #2 Steve
Craig spun-out and flipped over between turn 3 and 4.

The second heat was a fast pace race with #86 Russ Heider
taking the lead and never looked back to take the
second heat win with #33 Tom Wilson finishing second. The
#24 Tom Blackburn ended up third in the heat race after
#38 Gary Mincey of Jacksonville, Fla. broke a left rear
hub and causing Gary to spinout and finish the heat on
the wrecker.

The Florida Mini Sprint feature started out with #86 Russ
Heider taking the lead quickly and starting in the second
row. With the #86 Russ Heaider out front the race would
go on to be for second with #71 John Craddock and #6 Mike
Schroeder until 2 laps to go when #6 Mike Schroeder would
pass Craddock on the inside own the front straight-away.
Russ Heider would win his First F.M.S.A. point's race
in his Mini Sprint Racing Career.
