Young Guns Blast Their Way To The Front In Outlaw Race

The young guns of the OUTLAW MODIFIED RACING SERIES won the shoot out at the OK corral at Charlotte County Speedway June 1st. Showing the veterans of the series that they could run with the best they dominated the finishing order with 4 out of the top 6 drivers ranging in age from 15 to 22 years old .

Rookie fifteen year old Corey ‘The Kid” Collum of Cape Coral in the 23 car made a end of the race move on Ted Hoversen of Key West in the 5 car. This was Corey’s first feature win.

Corey makes the 6th different winner out of 7 races in this very competitive series. Not to be undone at a shot at the veterans of the OUTLAW MODIFIEDS 16 year old Christy Boyett of Punta Gorda in the 94 car finished 3rd.

18-year-old newcomer Mike Kohut of Hollywood in the 83 car finished in 4th. Veteran Raymond ‘Superfrog” Jones of Arcadia driving Dave O’steens 41 car rounded out the top 5.

22 year old Phillip Brigham of Ft Pierce in the 7 car placed 6th with Don Peacock of Tavernier in the 24 car in seventh. John Entamaczyk of Big Pine Key in the 14 car was eighth. Fred Matson of Tavernier in the 18 car was ninth. Donna Flowers of Miami in the 65 car rounded out the top 10.

The OUTLAW MODIFIEDS will be back at Charlotte County Speedway June 22nd for the Twin 25’s of the Dan Curl Jr. Memorial June 22nd.
