Michael Faulk and MB3 Motorsports to Raise Funds for Tsunami Victims | Race Team Combines with Local Corporations and Business Owners
One race team has taken a early step to getting 2005 headed in the right direction.
In order to provide additional funds for the tsunami victims of South Asia, the MB3 Motorsports team and Hooter's Pro Cup driver Michael Faulk will be at the local Hooter's Restaurant on January, 28th with their two seat show car and transport.
Local corporations and business owners and will be awarded a 50 lap "ride along program" for the top corporate donor of the evening. Michael will be teaming up with radio station 92.9 Oldies and Ocala Style Magazine on January 28th to bring together Ocala's top corporate executives in order to raise desperately needed funds.
More than 150,000 people have been reported to been killed in ten countries, including India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka following massive tidal waves. Malnutrition, an existing widespread problem in some areas due to poverty and civil conflict, has been compounded by the tsunami.
The tsunami and its aftermath polluted water sources and severely damaged many water and wastewater treatment infrastructures and the potential for widespread epidemics and outbreaks of disease is great and is expected to be especially critical in the wake of this tsunami.
The need for help is far from over. "Sometimes, you have to put things into perspective and realize what the greater good is. Many people have already donated funds, but more is desperately needed.
These people have lost their entire world and complete generations of families vanished in merely moments," said Mike. "We send our deepest sympathies to the survivors of this horrific episode, and hope our contribution will help in any way possible."
According to a MB3 Motorsports spokesman, the group was formed with a complete mission and commitment to marketing. "MB3 Motorsports is more than just a motorsports team - we are a complete Integrated Marketing Solution. We offer unique marketing strategies that employ web-based technology and Direct Response Television to validate motorsports sponsorships."
Which may be just the shot in the arm needed for motorsports these days. MB3 Motorsports offices can be reached at 352.867-8412. Have an opinion on this story? Post a message on our Message Board! <news@karnac.org>or send a letter to the editor!
