Dude Teate Wins TBARA Sprints

A full field of the hottest groundpounding race cars Florida has to offer asphalt race fans put on a 25 lap spectacular show at DeSoto Speedway Saturday night.

Several restarts for wrecks in the beginning of the race slowed the pace, but only for a minute. Once they got past the first few laps with cautions the pace was fast and furious until lap 24.

The 15 car spun in turn 3 and ended up underneath the scoreboard with a fire under the car.

The safety team quickly put out the fire under red flag and TBARA officials moved the top three to the Winner's Circle with one lap remaining. The TBARA Sprints left the track but were called back out to do a one lap shoot-out.

Dude Teate, 1999 TBARA Champion, took the checkered flag followed by Dave Steele and Brad Davis.
