Casey Johnson took the lead at the start from Danny Martin Jr. and easily pulled away from the field and looked like he was on his way to his first win of the 2001 season. Johnson who has 4 second place finishes this season had his Harris Trucking Clincher Chassis #31 working flawlessly, however a caution for Darryl Smith on lap 20 set up a five lap shootout between Johnson and 8 time winner and current point leader Sport Allen. Johnson was up to the task and pulled away once more, however when Johnson caught lapped traffic, Allen was there waiting for the 16 year old hotshoe to make a mistake, Johnson got caught behind defending track Champ Johnny Gilbertson in turn 3 of the final lap, Allen went to the high side and around Johnson coming out of turn 4 and crossed the stripe just ahead of Johnson, giving Sport his 9th win of the season in the Rowland and Son Construction Sprint Car Main and adding another second place finish to Casey Johnson's 2001 record. Danny Martin Jr. finished third followed by Roland Johnson and Joe Melnick. Casey Johnson and Danny Martin Jr. were the heat winners.
In Late Models it was just 10 laps in the books when the 30 minute time limit expired giving the Rowland and Sons Construction win to Bobby Alexander Jr. over David Schmauss, Tim Gay, Bill Howard and Bob Peterson. Heats went to Devin Dixon and Phillip Cobb. The Late Models were running for the $1000 Buddys Home Furnishings 100 days same as cash bonus, no one won so now it will roll over to $1100, and the Limited Late Models will be running for the bonus next time.
The Rowland and Sons Construction Limited Late Model Main was also cut short by the time limit and current point leader Forrest Gough took the win over Jeff Mathews, Jerry White, David Simpson and Terry Gay. Heats went to Forrest Gough and Robbie Mena.
The Rowland and Sons Construction Mini Stock main went to Rusty Dixon as he took his second in a row over Scotty Williams, Scott Howard, Rich Livernois and William Hampton. Heats went to Scott Howard, Scotty Williams and Rusty Dixon.
Bruce Watkins claimed the Rowland and Sons Construction Open Wheel Modified main over Wayne Hammond, Terry Bronson, Greg Reutimann and Kyle Owen. Heats went to Terry Bronson and Bruce Watkins.
The Rowland and Sons Construction Street Stock A Main went to Terry Bronson over Bryson Ryker, Eric Johnson, Steve Johnson and John Borders. Heats went to Eric Johnson, Danny Paris and Bryson Ryker.
The Rowland and Sons Construction Street Stock B Main went to Tony Jackson as he claimed his first career win over Phillip Board and Joe Greenwood.
The Holdover Street Stock B Main went to Glenn Hodges as he grabbed his first career win over Bryson Ryker and Eric Johnson.
The Racecam Resource Street Stock Dash for Cash went to Terry Bronson
