It's time to race!
   

August 5, 2001

14-year-old Takes Triple Crown @ St. Augustine

Terry Wright pulled a three peat Saturday Night in the ThunderTrucks at St. Augustine Speedway. Wrightpassed Ricky Cooper in turn four to take the win. After Wright was Jared Cooper, Troy Kruse, Robert Gorman and MitchDoughtry. Wright also survived a teardown protest.

Ministocks had Troy Kruse returning to the Winners Circle. ChasingKruse was Rick Tumey, Tim McPhill, Jihn Hopke, and Jay Farris.

Shannon Smith used his pole position to lead all 25 laps ofthe Modified feature. Following Smith was Greg Norstrom, Russ MisCally, Larry OSteen,and Jason Lowe.

Chris Manucy need I say more. Manucy moved from his third row inside position to take the leadin the first turn of the first lap of Hobby stocks. Jeremy Cline challenged Manucy but couldnt get the position to passand settled for second. Third was JodyStratton, fourth was Jay May, fifth Shea Clay.

Late Model driver lately seem to be driving with out thinking. Saturday again was a demo derby. Surviving the may lay was Mike Faulk, JayMiddleton, Richard Ferry, Josh Byrd and Jared Allison rounds out the top five.

The TQ Late Models (Three Quarter) also put on a show. The winner was car #05 followed by #22, #5,#07 and #25.
