MOTHER NATURE NABS ANOTHER AT EAST BAY | by KEN SANDS
Mother Nature has not been kind to the fans or races at East Bay Raceway during the month of July. The Management at East Bay was once again forced to cancel the racing rogram. With rain every day during the week and heavy rains on Thursday and Friday, the plug was pulled on the July 28 program due to severely wet grounds.
The East Bay Management team got together and came up with the following schedule for next weekend. There will be a racing program both Friday and Saturday Night. FRIDAY AUGUST 3 will have a regular Limited Sprint show, the holdover Street Stock A Main from 7-21, the holdover Mini Stock Main from 7-21, a Mini Stock Non Qualifiers race for the Mr. Bud race, Wingless Sprints will have a practice session and there will be a Pure Stock $800 to win race. Front Gate Admission will be $12 for Adults.
SATURDAY AUGUST 4 will have a regular show for Street Stocks, Late Models, Limited Late Models. The Mini Stocks will have another non qualifiers race for the Mr. Bud, The Mini Stocks will run their Mr. Bud $2500 to win race, the Wingless Sprints will run and this will be a double points Sprint race, ther will also be a Giant Demo Derby (30 cars have alreadt pre entered) The Demo cars will be lined up tail to tail on the front stretch.
