SPORT ALLEN SWEEPS WEEKEND

Tampa Florida - It appeared that Sheldon Kinser Jr. would claim his first career East Bay 360 Sprint car Victory on Saturday night. Kinser crossed the line in first, however after the victory lane celebration, Kinser failed to go to the tech shed and was stripped of his win.

A tough break for the likeable star out of Tavares Florida. Second place finisher, defending track Champion Johnny Gilbertson also failed to go to tech and was DQ'd, when all was said and done it was current point leader and Friday night winner Sport Allen of Pinellas Park getting credited with the win. Land O Lakes veteran Roland Johnson would be given second and Joe Melnick would be credited with third, 15 year old Danny Martin Jr. and Lutz resident Robbie Smith rounded out the top 5.

In LATE MODEL action, it was David Schmauss taking the lead from Roger Crouse on Lap 15 to cruise home the winner over Donnie Tanner, Crouse, Bobby Alexander Jr. and Bill Howard.

Defending Champ Jeff Mathews took the LIMITED LATE MODEL main event over Forrest Gough, Phillip Brower, Dale Pope and Randy Shields Jr..

The First STREET STOCK main went to Jeff Stewart who claimed his first career win. Timmy Bronson, Steve Johnson, Mac Kersey and Eric Johnson rounded out the top 5.

The JASEN BUZBEE MEMORIAL MINI STOCK DASH went to Kenny Rutledge over Scotty Williams and Devin Dixon. The Buzbee family was on hand for the victory lane ceremonies. Devin Dixon drove the Jasen Buzbee #26 in the dash. The field stopped at 7 laps of the sheduled 8 lapper and Devin drove Jasens car around the last lap, giving Jasen his final checkered flag. Buzbee passed away July 1 at the age of 27. The C T Earle $500 to win Fastest Man on Foot Dash went to Ryan Mitchell. The second Street Stock main and the Mini Stock Main were rained out, they will be rescheduled at a later date.

The "30 car" Demo Derby win went to Mark Dewaire.
