ALLEN HALTS LEONARD STREAK AT EAST BAY

Sport Allen, out of Pinellas Park, took the lead from his car owner and pole sitter Taylor Andrews on lap one and easily cruised home the winner in the Buddys Home Furnishings 25 lap SPRINT CAR main Saturday night putting an end to the 4 race win streak of Greg Leonard.

The race was red flagged on lap 19 when Casey Johnson who had worked his way from his ninth starting spot up to third, hit the first turn wall hard, the car was damaged badly but the youngster was OK.

Allen who as of late has not had much luck finally had his Dayton Andrews Dodge #88 running to near perfection as he outran Taylor Andrews in his Dayton Andrews #88T, Greg Leonard #94, Paulie Milum #42 and Johnny Gilbertson #6. Heats went to Allen and Andrews.

In LATE MODELS, it was Bobby Alexander Jr. taking the win. Roger Crouse led the field to Kenny Marshall's green flag and held the lead until lap 7 when Phillip Cobb took over, holding on until lap 11 when he got caught up with a lapped car giving the lead back to Crouse for laps 12 & 13.

Bobby Alexander Sr., who was celebrating his birthday, took the lead on lap 14 only to break on lap 15. It was now David Schmauss on the point, holding the top spot for 3 laps when he ended his run with a flat tire handing over the lead to Donnie Tanner.

Tanner appeared to be in shape to take his first win of the season, but Bobby Alexander Jr. had other thoughts, went to the high side and on to claim his 3rd win of the season in The Buddys Home Furnishings main.

Tanner held on for second over Bill Howard, Trevor Merrill and Steve Gillman. Heats went to David Schamuss and Trevor Merrill.

Jerry Rogers had his Smokehouse BBQ #57 honking on all cylinders enroute to his win in the Buddys Home Furnishings LIMITED LATE MODEL main. Rogers held off Forrest Gough #21, Jerry White #94, Terry Gay #90 and Randy Sheilds Jr. #49. Heats went to Rogers and White. Rogers also claimed the Buddys Home Furnishings 100 days same as cash bonus of $100 for winning his heat and main.

The Buddys Home Furnishings LIMITED SPRINT main found point leader Andy Kelley #11 taking the win over Donnie Maxwell #5, Tim George #1, Darrin Miller #30 and Clyde Poole #85. Heats went to Miller and Terry Fritcher.

Chris Livernois #70 took his second win of the season in the Buddys Home Furnishings 15 Lap MINI STOCK main. Scotty Williams #27, Scott Howard #00, Rich Livernois #71 and Dustin Perez #20 rounded out the top 5. Heats went to Forrest Gough and Randy Shearl.

Terry Bronson #23 took his 6th win of the season in the Buddys Home Furnishings STREET STOCK A Main over Danny Paris #09, Steve Johnson #14, Tim Hunt #9 and Eric Johnson #41. Heats went to Eric Johnson, Terry Bronson and Charlie Wyberg.

The Buddys Home Furnishings STREET STOCK B Main went to Loren Bailey #51 over Jim Greenwood #19 and Glen Hodges #26.
