Cooper and Kruse Continue Winning Streaks

The old adage full moon and racecar drivers dont mix held true at St. Augustine Speedway Saturday night. In the Late Model/Sportsman feature a multi car crash took out some fast runners. Larry Osteen, Jeremy Finch, and Donnie Oden to name a few. Jay Middleton was able to stay out of trouble to win the event. Chasing Middleton was Scott Lagasse, Jr., Jared Allison, Todd Ponce, in a borrowed late model, and Jody Turner. The sportsman winner was Scott Hezel. Ricky Cooper was able pass the #07 of teenager Terry Wright to take the lead in the Thunder Trucks to continue his winning streak. Wright finished second followed by Robert Gorman, Jared Cooper, Mike Dougherty. Jeff McClary, who was injuried in a second turn hit on the wall, is OK and back home.

A new face in Victory Lane in the Hobby Stock Division, Jay May put his #50 Hobby in Victory Lane. Randy Moody was second, third was Buck York, Fourth was Brad Pulson, andfifth was Bobby Giles. Jody Stratton and Chris Manucy were DQ'ed for rough driving.

Mini stocks saw Troy Kruse winning again. Jake Hartleymanaged a second after a scuffle with Vern Rozier that sent both to the tail. Third was Jay Farris, who came from last place starting position with no practice. The #7 car was fourth with Rozier finishing fifth.

Larry Osteen continued winning in the Open Wheel Modifieds.J.F. McCellan was second followed by Jamie Carter, Jason Lowe, and David Linquist.
