Rogers Back in Winners Circle

Super Late Model: David Rogers was back at NSS in his #11 TM Ranch Dodge and immediately returned to his winning ways. Rogers took the lead on lap # 1 and never looked back. The hard charger award has to go to Sammy Graham in the #1, last week s winner. Sammy looked real strong as he passed B.J. McLeod for the 2d spot. Jeff Emery in the #12e was third, B.J. was 4th, with Mike Good driving the #27 Briar Construction Ford T-Bird rounding out the field of cars on hand.

Modified: 67 yr. Old Joe Middleton #71 won the heat! The feature was rained out. Justin Henderson was at the track after last week s crash, and reported that he was feeling good and wanting to race.

Late Model: Rained out

Mini stock: It started raining during the feature, and the #55 of Rick Tumey was leading coming out of turn #4. I saw Tumey spin and hit the fence. I personally can t say what caused the spin for sure. Conrad Grenier then took the lead under caution. Tumey got his damaged car running, but rain prevented a restart. When I went home the score sheet read 1. Conrad Grenier, 2. #9 AR Charlie Statts, 3, Mark Rigsby in the #64 Mustang, 4, Tim Clark, & 5 Tim Missileman Mc Phail in the #7 rocket. Tim and wife have added a new pup to the other 5 dogs they bring each week. 6 dogs now make the weekly trip from St Pete.

Sportsman: Doug Samion s #04 crashed out hard at Bithlo, but was back and running strong to take the feature win. Donnie Williams drove the #111 Camaro to an impressive runner up finish. Ian Huffman looked real powerful in the #3 Gator Golf MC, and took 3d. Steve Reddit was back in the blue Pontiac #1, and was paid for 4th. Butch Yancy drove his 911 Camaro to fifth.

SuperStock: A first time winner, and the crowd loved it! Ted Helms has had some real good runs recently, but had not gotten a feature win. This was his night as his car was flawless as he powered the Amsoil Orange Monster to a convincing win over a very quick Mike Wiczoreck in the Fuglie s Bar/Fireball #30 Chevy. The undisputed King of Romance, The Ladies Man himself, Homer Gordon in the #22 Passion Machine showed the stamina that has made him famous and pumped his way to third over charging Billy Spade s #15x who ran well. The 5th spot went to the #33 Of Kelly Caudell. His team showed up with several beautiful cars.

Strictly Stock: Rain prevented these folks from demonstrating their skills.
