SPORT ALLEN HALTS ADAMS WIN STREAK

Sport Allen out of Pinellas Park was not even supposed to be dirt racing on Saturday as he was scheduled to run the Taylor Andrews asphalt Sprint car in the TBARA Jimmy Haynes Memorial, however when the weatherman would not cooperate, they threw a motor in the dirt car and headed to East Bay, the fruits of their labor paid off as Allen took the 25 Lap main and put a stop to the 4 race win streak of Kenny Adams. Allen who started 4th, took the lead from pole sitter Bubba the Love Sponge on lap 1 and outran the 4 time winner to claim his first of the 2001 season, Adams held on for second over Greg Leonard, Johnny Gilbertson and Bubba the Love Sponge.

The Late Models fell to Bobby Alexander Jr for the second time this season as he reeled in the very fast Ted Erskine on lap 15 and held on to take the win. Erskine in his best finish in some time held on for 2nd over Bob Peterson, Donnie Tanner and Bobby Alexander Sr.

Scott Howard ended the 4 race win streak of Devin Dixon in Mini Stocks as he outran Forrest Gough, Robert Douglas, William Hampton and Devin Dixon.

Raymond Rogers claimed his first ever Limited Late Model main over Jerry Rogers, Phillip Brower, Terry Gay and John Norris.

The Limited Sprint Main went to Gene Lasker over Andy Kelley, Frank Beck III, Kurt Taylor and Darrin Miller. The First Street Stock main went to Steve Johnson over Bryson Riker, Jeff Stewart, Jason Bronson, Timmy Bronson.

The Second Street Stock main went to Danny Paris over Terry Bronson, Allie Besette, Rob Roy and Tim Hunt.
