It's time to race!

March 25, 2001

Adams and Dixon 4 for 4 at East Bay

Kenny Adams of Malabar continued his domination of the 360 Sprints, as he took the lead from Robbie Smith on lap 8 and maneuvered his Blue Ribbon Farms/Putnam County Speedway 2A through lapped traffic enroute to his 4th in a row to remain unbeaten so far on the 2001 regular season. Adam's motor began to smoke a little with 3 laps to go, but that never slowed the Pennsylvania transplant; Smith held on for second over Bob Auld, Johnny Gilbertson and Gene Lasker.
Sport Allen crossed the line third, but a post race inspection found that his American Drilling #42 had lost a muffler resulting in his DQ.

Young Devin Dixon proved why he is the defending Champion of the Mini-Stocks, as he easily outran the 29-car starting field, to bring his Blue Ribbon Farms/BC Family Used Cars #2 home for his 4th in a row and also remain undefeated. Scott Howard came home second over Forrest Gough, Scotty Williams and Robert Douglas.

Bobby Alexander, Sr. kept the Blue Ribbon Farms team in Victory Lane as he topped the very exciting Late Model Main. Alexander took the lead from a fast Teddy Jernigan on lap 12and then had to hold off the rest of the field enroute to his first win of the season. David Schmauss, Bobby Alexander, Jr. and Roger Crouse rounded out the top five.

In Limited Late Models, it was Phillip Brower getting his first win of the year as he held off Terry Gay, David Boerner, Don Gansner and Rich Kessinger. The Street Stocks fell to Terry Bronson for the second time this season, Bryson Riker, Timmy Bronson, Danny Paris and Wayne Hayes rounded out the top five.

Next Saturday night is PEPSI NIGHT, and the Limited Sprints will be back in action at the lightning fast, 1/3-mile dirt oval. Action starts at 6:30 sharp.
