By Danny Snow

Fifteen Pure Stocks hit the track for the first feature race of the All Double Point Finale night of racing. #2 David Fischer had the pole to begin the thirty lap race, but by lap five it was #19 Greg Anderson out in front. #99 Mark Collins took over the top spot on lap seventeen as #84 Bill Vandevender was pushing for second. Vandevender had to pit due to a flat with only ten laps to go. #99 Collins held on for the win with #38 Joe Reese in second and #91X John Plakiotis in third. The Points Championship went to #31X Elbert Butts.

The Road Warriors were up next for their twenty five lap double point feature. #M00 Bob Williams sat on the pole for the field of seventeen cars. Williams was the man to beat. He went on to lead every lap, and walked away with the win. #61 Chris Oncken came in second and #28 Joe Bossey rounded out the top three taking third. #73 Del Beckner won the Points Championship and #42X Trey Almand took Rookie of the Year.

The Cat Country Limited Late Models double point fifty lap feature got underway with #62 Buzz Martin on the pole. #81 Chuck Sweet took the lead on lap six and held on tight for the next twenty five laps. After starting out on the inside of the last row, #88 Randy Fox took the lead on lap thirty one and never looked back. #88 Fox won the race and the Points Championship. #81 Sweet took second in the race along with winning the Rookie of the Year. #51 Richie Anderson came in third.

Thirteen Mini Stocks lined up for their double point twenty five lap feature with #6 Marshall Parr on the pole. John Trotta moved the #1 car up to take over the lead on lap three, but by lap six it was #94 Keith Risinger out in front. #56 Brian Richardson had made his way up through the pack to take over the lead by lap twelve and held on for the win. #19D Dale Dean III took second with #30 Jesse Dutilly in third. The Points Championship went to #94 Keith Risinger.

The Cowboy Cadillacs lined the track for the final double point feature of the night with #22 John Garrett on the pole. This was #33 Don Van Acker's race. After starting out in the back row, he shot through the field of ten trucks to take over the lead on the first lap. Van Acker held on to take the win along with the Points Championship. #24 Justin Bryant came in second followed by #2 Gene Pack in third. #2 Pack also took home the Rookie of the Year award.

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus greeted the race fans at the gate with candy canes and smiles, as we were about to run our last race lineup of the season. A good time was had by all. The management and staff of the Charlotte County Speedway would like to say Thank You to everyone who came out to support drivers at the home of "Southern Thunder" this year. We are looking forward to next season for another exciting and safe racing experience for the fans and the racers. Please be careful and have a safe and happy holiday. See you next year. God Bless America.
