Barkis wins LLM 6 pack race, Fox wins Championship at Charlotte

The Collier Electric Limited Late Models lined up for the Six Pack #6 one hundred lap race with #88 Randy Fox on the pole. At the drop of the green #29 Mike Hovis shot out to take the lead. #10 Brad Barkis started the race back in ninth position and by lap eighteen had made his way up to fourth. A man with a mission, Barkis dropped down low to get under Hovis and take the lead on lap forty. As #29 Hovis and #34 Jeff Durfresne battled it out for second, Barkis was steadily lapping the field and by lap eighty one had managed to lap the fourth place car of Randy Fox. #10 Barkis won the race with #34 Durfresne in second and #29 Hovis in third. #88 Randy Fox took the Limited Late Model Six Pack Championship.
#1C Ricky Crawford sat on the pole of the Hendry's Mango Maniacs Cowboy Cadillacs twenty lap race. #85 Michael Macho took the lead on the first lap, but by lap four it was #24 Justin Bryant out in front. A caution on lap seventeen bunched up the pack for the final three laps, but #24 Bryant held on to take the win. #33 Don Van Acker moved up from the back to take second and #37 Cheryl Weaver, who also started out in the back, came in third.
Fifteen cars lined up for the Lee's Auto Repair Road Warriors thirty five lap feature with #7 Jesse Gargus on the pole. #42X Trey Almand took over the top spot on the first lap then lost it to #M00 Bob Williams on lap nine. Williams held the lead until a breakdown on lap twenty five sent him to the pits for the night. The lead went back to #42X Almand, who held position and took the win. #27 Terry Price had steadily made his way up through the field to take second with #61 Chris Oncken moving up to finish third.
The Lee's Auto Detail & Transmission Pure Stocks took to the track next for their thirty lap feature with #22 Kevin Murphy on the pole. By the end of the first lap it was #84 Bill VanDevender out in front. The Prompt Towing hook got a workout during this race as their services were required after a spin on lap sixteen, and again on lap twenty seven when #6 Kevin Utter's engine went up in a ball of fire and a few of the drivers slid into him. Everyone was all right, but Utter's night of racing was over. #84 VanDevender held on for the win with #31X Elbert Butts in second. #7 Danny Caylor rounded out the top three taking third after starting last in the line up.
Thirteen cars lined up for the Shirley's Bookkeeping Rebel Road Warriors twenty five lap feature, our final race of the night. #3B John Boyer sat on the pole for the thirteen car field. Boyer held the lead till lap eight when #55 Conrad Molter moved up from the middle of the pack to take over the top spot. #55 Molter held on to take the win. #14W Wayne Wilson came in second after starting the race in tenth and #3B Boyer took third.
