UNDERWOOD BIG WINNER IN MODIFIEDS, VULIPUS IN WINNER'S CIRCLE FOR MINI-STOCK

After 125 laps of Super Late Model racing, fans were
ready for the three regular divisions on the program
for Saturday, November 3.

First up for their feature race were the Mini-Stocks.
Rex Christensen, #v3, had the pole but it was David
Castello in the #6 Mini-Stock that lead the first
12 laps of the race. Castello did a great job of
holding off the hard charging Ted Vulipus and Robbie
Yokum until he became loose coming out of turn 4 and
hit the wall hard. Luckily, David was okay, a slight
headache and pains but okay. But that cannot be said
of his car which definitely had a toasted front end.
After the wreckage was cleared, it was the #71 leading
the remaining 3 laps with the #8 of Robbie Yokum close
behind. Conrad Grenier in the #01, Tim "the Missileman"
McPhail in fourth and Rick Tumey #55 in fifth.

The Open Wheel Modifieds saw the #56 of Andy Jacquess
on the pole but it was the #71 of Joe Middleton that
jumped to the lead until the #57 of Jim "Hoot" Flynn
took over. Middleton slipped back to second with
Wayne Southard in third, Mark Vandevender in fourth
and Justin Henderson riding in fifth. But behind them
was the #09 of Rob Underwood slowly working his way to
the front. He worked his way to "Hoot" and that was
all she wrote. Underwood took the lead and the win.
Jim "Hoot" Flynn in the #57 was second, Mark
Vandevender in the #7 third, #2x was fourth and
Justin Henderson in the #16 was fifth.

Strictly Stocks were up next with the #61 of
Scott Lees on the pole. Lees lead a portion
of the race but it was the #11 of Nick Voglor
taking the lead and winning the race. Top
five were Nick Voglor, Scott Lees, Barry
Parks, #ll and #77 rounding out the top five.
