Bartholemew Bests FLSCA Sprints at Thundercross

Dean Bartholemew fought his way to the front, passed a hungry young Matt Gast, and held off veteran Gary Gimmler to claim the win in a close finish at the dirt oval here Saturday night.

At the start of the main event Shane Kreidler jumped out front and tried to run and hide but a caution closed the gap and on the restart Shane spun out all by himself and lost the lead. Young Matt Gast lead a number of laps before he lost the lead. A hard fought battle was waged up front the whole race between Gast, Bartholemew, Gary Gimmler, Bob Bradley, and Mark Gimmler. On top of the battles well back in the field, and the largest car count yet this was probably the best race all year.

Bartholemew can surely be proud of this one as this was a very hard fought victory over one of the best, Gary Gimmler.

Heat races were won by Gary Gimmler and Mark Hysong.
