Shane Butler Wins T.B.A.R.A. at Citrus County Speedway

by Larry Lype

This was the only visit of the TBARA Winged Sprint Series 2001 Tour to the Citrus County Speedway, and the fans were treated to lots of great racing action. Two fast heats had as winners Gary Gimmler and Wayne Reutimann, making them eligible for the Barfield Clean Sweep Bonus. The fans were treated to fast paced action during the feature on the tight speedplant. When the dust settled, Shane Butler took the victory with 1999 TBARA Champ Dude Teate coming in second and winning the Eagle Jet - GMS Motorsports Hard Charger award. The Butler Crew and Family celebrated Shanes Win in Victory Lane. Third was Wayne Reutimann, Fourth was Gary Gimmler, and Fifth was Keith Butler. The next event for the Tampa Bay Area Racing Association Winged Sprint Series Tour will be at Columbia Motorsports Park, Lake City, FL. on October 20.
