| DARRIN MILLER TOPS LIMITED SPRINTS / ANDY KELLEY CLINCHES LIMITED SPRINT | by Ken Sands
Darrin Miller in Miss Marge's #30 stayed down in the low groove and easily outdistanced the field of Limited Sprints to claim his first win of the 2001 season, Gene Lasker took second over 2001 Mr. Bud Clyde Poole, David Kelley and Tim George. Heat wins went to Bruce Brantley and Gene Lasker.
Andy Kelley by virtue of his 8th place finish clinched the 2001 season point title in the division. In 360 Sprints it was Pinellas Park veteran and current point leader Sport Allen taking the win over a fast closing Johnny Gilbertson, 16 year old hotshoe Casey Johnson, Brian Maddox and Paulie Milum. Heats went to Paulie Milum and Roland Johnson.
The Late Models fell to Bill Howard over Bobby Alexander Sr., David Schmauss, Steve Mathis and Ted Erskine. Heats went to Bob Peterson and Bill Howard.
Forrest Gough took the lead on the last lap from Dale Pope to claim the Limited Late Model main. Pope held on for second over Terry Gay, Ricky Land and Phillip Brower. Heats went to Jeff Mathews, Terry Gay and Dale Pope.
The Mini Stock main went to Scotty Williams, Scott Howard, Devin Dixon, Dorsey Strickland and Chris Livernois. Heats went to Ryand Mitchell, Devin Dixon and Chris Livernois.
