| Bronson Adds Outside Walls - Arthur Conquest Recovering | Trust Fund In Place For Injured Driver
Bronson Motor Speedway has recently added outside retaining walls to the 1/4 banked oval located in Bronson, Florida. According to owner Dean Pruitt the plan to add the outside walls in the turns was in progress before the accident that injured driver Arthur Conquest last month.
Conquest's car left the track during a practice session and the crash resulted in severe back injuries. He is home recovering and his wife Lori said Arthur is "doing really good but has lost a lot of weight, he gets up and walk 4 times a day." Conquest, who with his brothers in a drywall business, expects to return to work in 5 or 6 months. Conquest has five fused vertebrae and is looking forward to returning to stock car racing next year. Lori Conquest said "he promised me even if he gets well sooner, he won't race until next year."

Conquest was the driver of the number 70 Super Stock at Bronson Motor Speedway before his car went over the steep embankment at the race track. Conquest is one the more notable drivers at Bronson Motor Speedway.
A trust fund has been set up to help defray the mediacal and other expenses while Conquest is unable to work:

Prior to the Speedway adding the wall cars could leave the track from turn one to turn three and faced a 20 to 30 foot drop off and risked hitting trees. Bronson Motor Speedway races every Saturday night and is 15 miles west of Gainesville, Florida.
