         FOX RULES AT CHARLOTTE

Limited Late Model field prepares to race

Randy Fox came from the middle of the pack Saturday night at
Charlotte County Speedway to take the win in the action filled #2 race of the Pepsi 6 six-pack Limited Late Model 100 lapper at Charlotte County Speedway.

29 cars lined up to take the green flag and the racing was hot and
heavy.  Right away #28 Bob Root took the early lead but the #10 of young Brad Barkis was right there and took the lead early, following Barkis past Root was the #36 of Stuart Vandervender. Coming up through the field with some impressive moves was the #01 Jeff Wogoman.

The #107.9 Cat Country car driven by Glenn Morris was making good strides through the field but while coming high out of turn 4 smacked the front stretch wall a ton going up on two wheels and probably knocking the toe out going to the rear and ending up with an 18th place finish.

Meanwhile the #4 Randy Fox was picking his way up through the pack gaining positions seemingly at will moving up to do battle with Vandevender who spun while running side by side with Fox and getting too much damage to continue without going into the pits and losing many laps.

Barkis who had been running a good strong inside line began getting a tight race car finding it harder and harder to hold the hard charging Fox who eventually made a great inside move to get by and take the lead which he would never relinquish taking the win, following him across in 2nd was Jeff Wogoman, #29 Mike Hovis had a great run coming in 3rd, Barkis fighting the ill handling race car held on for 4th and #1 John Jackson with some excellent driving rounded out the top 5.
