While the Sunshine regular season of Saturday Night Racing doesn’t get underway until March 6th, the PARTS Pro Trucks will open on February 21st. The Speedway has arranged with the popular truck series for a schedule of seven PARTS Pro Truck Series races during 1999. The ever popular PARTS series has created the Florida Asphalt Series Trucks, or FAST, in order to give truck racers in Florida a chance to compete between the National PARTS series races.

It should be quite a competitive day (the races start at 2 PM), as the this will be the first day of racing on the newly paved Sunshine 1/4 mile. Also featured will be a 50 lap Figure Eight Championship race, Street Stocks, Mini-Stocks, and several Enduro events, one of which will be strickly amateurs.

The reverse enduro and the enduro relay race will each require a pre-registration by February 20th. Open practice sessions will be held on Saturday February 13th and Saturday February 20th, from 2pm to 5pm. The pits will open on February 21st at 11am; Grandstands open at 12 noon and racing begins at 2pm. Adult Grandstand admission is $10.00; Children 6 to 12 are $4.00; Children under 6 are free and parking is free. Pit entry fee is $17.00.

The 1999 Season officially begins at Sunshine on March 6 and runs until November 20.  Featuring weekly shows of Late models,  Figure 8's, Open wheel modifieds, Mini stocks, Street stock, Enduros, along with  Special events including the PARTS truck series, and School bus figure-8's.
