The Volusia Speedpark staff had their "A" game on Thursday.  A show that
included 13 heat races, 6 consolation races and 3 features started promptly
at 7:30 and finished at midnight.  29 DIRT modifieds, 44 UMP modifieds, and 69 late models took heats.  The track was dusty but looked packed and fast early.  By the end of the night, the DIRT modifieds put a black groove into the track and it looked quite slick.

Friday night, Volusia will host the Hav-a-Tampa late Model tour for a 30 lap
non-points race.  New York State D.I.R.T modifieds crown their champion with a 50 lap feature.  Also in action, Late Model Sportsman heats.  The asphalt track will have Late Models, Modifieds, Baby Grands, and the always exciting Winged Tampa Bay Area Race Sprints.  Both shows start at 7:30 and a general admission ticket gets you into both shows.
