Junior Hanley Wins Clyde Hart Memorial
[Note: Clyde Hart built New Smyrna Speedway in 1966, and owned it until he died in June 1998. He was known as one of Volusia County's most colorful and influential residents and largest land owner.]

New Smyrna - Tonight was the l00 lap Late Model Clyde Hart Memorial race.  We saw Ronnie Burkett in his #3l Big Daddy's BBQ Late Model with the pole.
Along side Ronnie with the outside pole was Wayne Anderson in his
bright red #84.  In the first lap of the race, we saw Larry Osteen and his
new #22 Late Model get taken out along with the #82 Late Model.  After
the clean-up was over, Wayne Anderson's car had electricl problems and
he pulled into the pits never to leave again.  Next on the restart, Ronnie
Burkett was told that he jumped the start and was sent to the back of the
field but Ronnie did not believe he had done that and chose to park his car.
That left the field open to Jr. Hanley and his #72 to take the lead for the
entire race.  The only car coming close to Jr. was the #3lx of Scott Frazer.
Top five were:

1.  #72 - Jr. Hanley
2.  #3lx - Scott Frazer
3.  #96 - Jack Cook
4.  #25 - Chris Wimmer
5.  #99p - Steve Carlson

2.  #l0x - Brad Barkis

In the NASCAR Tour Type and SK Mods, we saw #26 of George Kent with

llet Jimmy Wenks in the#2x take the lead but on a restart, the #l5 of Tank
