As the clouds darkened the Turner Tree and Landscape Limited Late Models rolled onto the track to qualify for their 100-lap feature.
Mike Franklin Jr. returned to the High Banks to take the fast time of the event with a 14.90 time to beat out Jeff Wogomans 14.92.
Johnny Casady took the early lead after starting on the pole after inverting the first four rows. The racing heated up fast as the top ten cars were all battling for the top spot. The drivers were bumping and grinding around the speedway jockeying for position.
Jessie Dutilly used a bump draft on Casady to take the top spot, which he never relinquished. Behind Dutilly there was a five-car battle for the second spot involving Casady, Steve Arnold, Glenn Morris, Jeff Wogoman and Mike Franklin. Arnold and Franklin were sent to the rear after bringing out the yellow.
Wogoman drove his ride deep into turn three trying to get passed Casady but Casady slammed the door. Wogoman had to get hard on the binders, spinning in turn four. Morris had no where to go and slammed into Wogoman. Both drivers were checked out by the safety crew and were OK.
Arnold and Franklin both made their way back through the field and did their best but just couldnt get around Casady. Dutilly roared to his second win of the season, Casady took second, third was Franklin, fourth across was Steve Arnold and in fifth Shawn Icely.
Mike Gamache made it two in a row in a wild School Bus Figure 8 race. The first six laps saw more carnage and destroyed buses then the final 19. Buses were flipping and crashing at the X from the drop of the Green flag.
When the white flag flew 4 buses were left out of the 16 starters. Gamache scored his second win in row in the buses, Scott Brown finished second, Ernest Helfrick was third Anthony Sarppriacone III was fourth, and fifth James Volk.
The Bomber class saw a wild finish. After leading the majority of the race William Slack came out of turn four on the white flag lap only to be taken around by Rick Germony. Slack ended up 11th with Germony 12th. Jerome Sideways Watland was the benefactor of the melee taking the checkered flag
Todd Freed Jr. was driving away with the Mini-Stock feature when rear end let go ending his race just short of finish. Gentleman Jon Bailey took the win. I smelled gear oil and I thought it was my car, said Bailey, but then I saw Todd slow in front me. Dean Butrum took second, third was Steve Glover after the dq of Bruce Moorehouse, Zach Harmount took fifth.
