Charles Seroki Tops Columbia Modifieds
By Marty Little

LAKE CITY, Fla. - Veteran Bubba Norton used a front row starting spot to good advantage as he led all 25 laps to win the late model feature event Saturday night at Columbia Motorsports Park. A lap one tangle realigned the field and when the green flag flew Norton took off and was never headed. Kevin Dicks, who came from the rear after the lap one incident, claimed second money over Donnie Oden, Ray Wheeler and Jody Turner.

Charles Seroki had it all his way in the Florida Modified headliner as he led all 20 laps for the victory over Jason Garver, Mark Bergman, Jimmy Britts and Tom Roberts.

Garver came back to notch the victory in the 25 lap street stock run with a good drive over Bryan Wheeler, early leader Seroki, Jeff Prescott and Brad Fiene.

Pure stock action saw Marty Wood come from the rear of the 14 car field to just edge Russell Patterson for the victory in the 25 lapper. Ronnie Cook claimed thrid money over Chuck Lintz and Lamar Anderson.

Tennessee visitor Doug Carrigan easily topped the Modified Lites 20 lap feature with a spirited drive over Rick Lundeen, Brian Gingras, Bob Quick and Jim Biglin.

The entry level hornets feature fell to Scott Dobek over Buck Headman and Marcus Blankenship.

The 2003 regular season comes to a close this Saturday night (10-25) with only a special two day Florida Pro Series event remaining on Thanksgiving weekend.
