Corey Crisafulli Wins Street Stock Special at Hialeah
by Marty Little

HIALEAH, Fla. - Corey Crisafulli started on the pole by the luck of the draw, but it was no luck that he led all 50 laps to claim the special street stock feature Saturday night at Hialeah Speedway.
While Crisafulli was never challenged throughout, the battle behind him was outstanding right to the checkers with Tony Barreca just edging Travis McCoy and Sean Bulaskas for runner-up honors. Ken Ammerman rounded out the top five finishers.

The 20 lap mini stock main was no contest as S.C. Klinger hustled his Toyota to his 13th victory of the season. Bill Calder caught the faltering mount of Fred Williams on the final lap for second money with Dave Shull and Steve Quick next to the stripe.

Former cyclone champion Bruce Moerlins, getting a very late start to his 2003 season, started from the pole position and easily bested the 28 car field in the 25 lap event. Young Josh Gorniak recorded his best career finish in second with point leader Mike Powers third, George Morales fourth and rookie Hansel Rojas fifth.

The cyclone non-winners 20 lap special feature fell to Rojas over Gorniak and Ron Lunsford with Eddie Lawler the top gun in the 35 lap figure 8 run. Bob Regula and Lynn Reid chased Lawler to the stripe.
The Florida Pro Series super late models return to Hialeah on Saturday, October 4 for the Bill Flingos Memorial 100 lapper.
