Moff Charges back to LLM Winners Circle
By Rick Anges
Bradenton,Fl. Marty Pierce returned as fast qualifier for the second week in a row and in his post qualifying run he said hoped to return to the winners circle as well, “the car is really hooked up and we have done a lot of work on it” said Pierce.

Current point’s leader Doug Moff dominated the class taking the first three wins in the series but bad luck has kept out of the winners circle of late. Moff came out strong in qualifying and was second fast on the speedway behind pierce.

Pierce drew the number 1 pill which inverted one row putting Bill Davis on the pole with Tate Pierce on the outside of the front row. When the green dropped it was Davis who moved out to the early lead but Tate Pierce was right on his bumper. Pierce made an inside move on Davis, the two ran side by side for several laps with Pierce taking the lead.

Chad Allman had a strong run going moving up into the fifth spot until a flat sent him to pits and put him several laps down. Fans were sent to their feet and everyone held their breath when on lap 20 Cedric Watson smacked the turn four wall breaking off a fuel line and setting the car ablaze. Watson was able to get out of the car safely and helped the track crew put out the fire.

Pierce had a good jump on the restart but Moff had made his way by Davis and was working on Pierce. Moff took the inside line on Pierce forcing him to high side and taking the lead. Moff went on to hold off the charge Marty Pierce to take return to the winners circle, Marty Pierce was second, third went to Bill Davis, fourth was Tate Pierce.

Street Stock Shoot Out

Dan Hall has been racing the high banks for many years and it showed in the fifty lap shoot out as Hall took the lead on the first lap and never looked back taking the win, second was Brad Price, third was Duane Best, fourth went to Jonathan Hiedenthal and fifth was Jamie Cassidy.
