Young Gun Sensation Tyler Godwin from Tampa drives to his first ever Victory in USA Sprints
"Young Gun" Sensation Tyler Godwin from Tampa drives to his first ever Victory in the USA Sprints @ Thundercross Motorsports Park! Tyler started his Schnee Ford Powered "Granpa Tuned" #4 Sprinter on the pole alongside Mike Shroeder and took off like a Rocket at the drop of the green flag and immediately it was obvious that the "Young Gun" driver #4 was a force to be reckoned with on this cool nite in Okeechobee,Florida.

However "Hollywood" Mike Shroeder in the Slammers Sports Bar J&J Chassis # 6 who was running the high side and actually at one time had his nose in front of Tyler coming off of turn 2 but lost grip momentarily and the #4 surged ahead. The "West Coast Flash" #52 of Shane Kreidler was dead on thier heels and trying everything to get bye Mike but Mike was hangin tough in the high groove.

Meanwhile Tyler was strecthing his lead over the 2 battling USA Stars to 4-5 car lengths.Shane kept his cool and finally on about lap 10 got his nose just ahead of Shroeder to take over second. The caution waved on lap 12 for the cars of # 3 Tony "Wildman" Pinero and the #44 Mike "The Professor" Steinruck who got tangled in turn 4 but were able to restart the race at the tail end of the pack.

When racing resumed Kreidler made his bid for the lead and pulled alongside of Godwin but the Ford had plenty of power and was hooked up as he pulled Shane off the corner.Shane gave it his all as he always does but wasn't able to get the power down off the corners like Tyler could and that was the difference as the 2 of them pulled away from the 3rd thru 6th positions.

Meanwhile back behind the 2 front runners Mike Shroeder#6,David "Skeeter Kelly in the Kelly's Trucking #12 Stanton & "Tiny" Tim George in the Venice Wrecker Service Shaw # 1 had a battle "Royale" because Andy "Hammer Down" Kelly's #11 Big Tree Nursery was driving the highest line we have ever seen in his always brave fashion.Literally you could have thrown a blanket over these cars.Andy Kelly was was determined to make that line work.

These five USA Sprints All-Stars switched positions back and forth more times than could be counted and certainly that was one of the best races commented Race Director Chip Stick that he ever saw @ Thundercross to date even though it wasn't for the lead. All the drivers certainly deserved thier hard earned cash that Promoter Dudley Kirton and his Brother Corey shelled out this nite.

Following "Young Gun" Tyler Godwin across the line was 2nd place finisher Shane Kreidler.Third, Forth and Fifth places went to David Kelly,Mike Shroeder & Tim George respectively as they were closely followed by the cars of Andy Kelly,Tony Pinero,Mike Steinruck and Shaun Namor in the Young Oil Co Gambler #10n for positions 6th thru 10th.This was bye far the most exciting racing so far this season.Amazingly there have been 6 different Winners in 9 Races run! So who's next? The USA Sprints are back in action again @ Thundercross Motorsports Park on Saturday Night May 31st.
