IT'S TIME TO RACE!!
April 29, 2003
Tony Pinero Takes Win at Thundercross 4/26
Tony "Wildman" Pinero from Plant City Florida got back to his Winning ways again this past Saturday Night by taking home the First Place Prize money enroute to his First Win of 2003.The start of the Feature saw "Young Gun" Steven Darvalics from Sarasota Rocket-Out from the Pole with "Wildman Tony" in his rightside hip pocket. The 2 racers battled for a couple of laps until Tony Launched His Plant City Sprinter coming out of turn 4 to the front to stay on lap 4. As Pinero started to stretch his lead the #32 Darvalics was challenged time and time again by Shane Kreidler who started 3rd. The second generation Darvalics was up to the task by holding off the hardcharging "West Coast Flash" #52 of Shane Kreidler. These 2 hard chargers fought tooth and nail as they waged a war of thier own for a dozen or so laps.

However on lap 14 Darvalics got extremely sideways and almost spun allowing Shane to motor by on the outside.Meanwhile Andy Kelly,Mike Shroeder and "Tiny Tim" George in the Venice Wrecker Shaw Sprinter were engaged in a fierce battle of thier own for the third position. There was good racin all throughout the field as 8 cars finished on the lead lap.Tony Pinero stood tall in Victory Lane as he was joyfully greeted by all the finishers of the top 5.USA Sprints has some of the most Sportsmen drivers in the State as this was evident after the Race. The Finishing order was 1) Tony Pinero #3 2)Shane Kreidler #52 3)Steven Darvalics #32 4) Andy Kelly #11 5) Tim George #1 6) Mike Shroeder #6 7)David Kelly #12 Shaun Namor #10n 9)Tyler Godwin #4 10) Ron Armstrong #56

The Track was in perfect condition and special thanks to the Kirton's for a great job in working hard to make for great Racing at the 1/3 mike Okeechobee Speedplant even though there had been a tremendous amount of rain Friday & Saturday.
